ABSTRACT
It is well known that online transaction fraud
detection using backlogging on e-commerce website is an application which helps
to detect transaction frauds using backlogging on e-commerce directly buy goods
or services from the seller Via Internet using a web browser. The internet has
become an essential part of our daily life, and companies realizes that the
internet can be a shopping channel to reach existing and potential customers.
With this consensus to investigate the problems faced by customers through the
traditional way of shopping (manual system), with respect to my case study, and
also suggest the positive step towards the improvement of online transaction using
backlogging on e-commerce website, which will be designed using MySQL as the
back – end and Visual Basic application package as the front – end. In this project, the main aim is to
demonstrate a better interactive feature in an E- shopping website. This will
improve sales over the net. This dissertation includes a literature review
giving background information about E- shopping choosing a suitable lifecycles
model and developing a website prototype and furthermore, evolution the
finished product which aims has been achieved.

GENERAL
INTRODUCTION
Online

process which ensures that there is a proper implementation of online
transactions without fraud interventions during E-commerce operations using an
essential blockage of application called backlogging.
It
is also seen as a form of electronic commerce detector which allows customers
to directly buy goods or services from the seller through internet using a web
browser without any fraudulent occurence.
The
notion that internet use has grown exponentially in just a couple of years lead
us to believe that internet commerce is expected to boom as well in the near
future. In order to justify internet commerce and internet shopping, an Online

customers to submit Online or order for items or services from a store that
serve both walk-in customers and online customers and to ensure that there is
no fraud attack on both ends.
E-commerce
website present an Online display of an order cut-off time and an associated
delivery window for items selected by the customer. The Online Shopping is a
web based application intended for online retailers. The main objective of this
application is to make searching, viewing and selected of a product easier. It
contains a sophisticated search engine for uses to search for products specific
to their needs.
The
search engine provides an easy and convenient way to search for products where
users can search for a product interactively and the searching engine would
refine the products available based on the users inputs, the users can then
view the complete specification of each product.
1.1 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Most
shops are experienced some draw back in their operation due to the current
shopping system (manual shopping) which are:
v Lack of accuracy in customer’s record
v Slow in processing customer’s records
v Lack of proper accountability
v It does not give a customer the incredible
convenience to shop at any time of the day due to the limited working hours.
There
is a need to change from manual way of shopping to a computerized way, where
customers can browse through the
Internet
and the system administrator to approve requests shoppers can buy products
anywhere and a database that will maintain the products detail information.

source

information were gotten through the internet and searching for information was
difficult due to same network problems.

to this reasons, the researcher may lack vital information about shopping and
may also have lapses in this work.
