guarantee scheme fund (ACGSF) in the development of the agricultural sector.
The specific objectives where to ascertain the impact of this credit from the
scheme crop production, livestock production. The study also examined the
effect of lending rate on agricultural development. The study used secondary
data sourced from CBN statistical bulletin. Multiple lease square regression
techniques was adopted to test for the relationship between the dependent and
independent variables: the study revealed that loans from the scheme to the
crop and livestock production had a positive impact with agricultural output
therefore they impacted significantly to its development. However, the study
reveals a negative relationship between lending rate and agricultural
development. It was recommended that government should invest more funds and
encourage participating bank to give out more credit to eligible farmer.
