REFLECTIVE
PRACTICE ON THE USE OF COMPUTER IN SCHOOL IT LABORATORY
Description:
The
school IT laboratory was conducive and occupied with sound computer systems and
peripheral devices. The whole laboratory was setup and arranged well in a
hybrid manner. The software to be used for the training was installed
completely in the System. The environment was enjoyable to both the Students
and the Tutors. The training for each packages such as Microsoft word,
Microsoft excel, Corel draw, Adobe Photoshop and others was undergone by the
Tutor and practical workshop was given to the Students to work on. This was
accessed by the Tutor to test and score the Student’s credibility.
Feelings:
It
was pleasurable when booting the System. I was nervous due to the instructions
given in the laboratory by the Tutor about computer damages and it’s
implication to the Student who will mishandle or steal any of the computer
devices. This has caused us to handle the Systems with care.
Evaluation:
The
Computer laboratory is attractive and conducive to the Students and the Tutors.
The computer systems are well arranged for per Student. It was highly
maintained by the Computer Lab attendance. The training was guided and accessed
by the Tutor to test the ability of the Student. The Students carefully abide
by the rules and regulations set in the Computer laboratory.
Analysis:
During
the training, the Students were able to use the Computer Systems fluently. I
was able to boot the Computer System. I was able to make use of the peripheral
devices such as mouse, keyboards, speakers and the printer. I and the rest of
the Students were satisfied with the training packages undergone by the Tutor.
We were able to handle the Computer Systems very well without any losses or
damages.
Conclusion:
Computer
is very interesting and is now my favorite in school. Most of my academic
activities are done with the use of computer. I so much appreciate my Tutor
with the sound training and assessment. I appreciate the School for providing
such a serene environment for Computer training.
Action
Plan: My action plan is to attain the laboratory in time,
get a space to make use of the Computer Systems, involve in every activities
set by the Tutor so as to get a good remarks and ensure to stick to the rules
and regulations of the Computer laboratory in order to avoid embarrassment or
punitive measures by the School authorities.
