INSTALLATION OF OUTPUT DEVICE FOR A SATELLITE RECEIVER SYSTEM



ABSTRACT

 

A system consisting of electronic or other devices designed and constructed to monitor images in the vicinity of premises is a Satellite Receiver SRS System. It is estimated that there are five million Satellite Receiver System cameras in use today. Satellite Receiver System is used by a wide range of organizations and for an increasing number of purposes. Powering any Satellite Receiver System camera is a Power module which is the basis of this project titled; design, construction, and installation of a 9-way Power Module for a SRS. This module comprises of a 9-power supply outlet. Each outlet supplies a 12Volts/2Amperes direct current after it must have been rectified from a 220v/240v alternating current supply source. The impact of different levels of video quality on identification and developing this report was assessed in two experimental studies using a task-focused methodology discussed in this report. Two methods can be used to execute this project, which is the wired and micro-wave method. But only the cable method was used. According to Gill et al. (2005), the study did not examine the impact of specific technologies on operator performance when carrying out tasks but this project work did. During the execution of the project some challenges encountered were; inability to mount the cameras on some parts of the wall, poor video output from the monitor, and winding of the transformer used for the Power Module. Due to increased terrors and crimes, the use of the video surveillance camera system is increasing. It is concluded that Satellite Receiver System video surveillance is successful in reducing and preventing crimes and is helpful in prosecuting criminals.
